Make the customer areas part of the plan
Foot traffic, display layouts and opening hours shape the work. A store’s cleaning scope should include the surfaces customers notice without disturbing merchandise or displays.
- Entrances and accessible interior glass
- Sales-floor sweeping, vacuuming and mopping as appropriate
- Checkout counters and fitting-room surfaces
- Customer restrooms and staff break areas
Protect displays and keep access clear
Identify delicate finishes and areas where stock or fixtures must remain in place. Any cleaning inside displays or around merchandise should be agreed separately.
- Confirm which displays and counters may be cleaned
- Plan access around deliveries and opening times
- Point out spill-prone or high-traffic areas
Everyday upkeep and periodic details
Regular visits can cover the core cleaning needs, with occasional detail work for reachable trim, edges and other overlooked areas.
- Set frequency around customer traffic
- Include back-office and staff areas if needed
- Review additional tasks ahead of busy seasons or events
